BIG BANG 20TH ANNIVERSARY

In 2005 the Big Bang marked the advent of a new era in watchmaking, more closely attuned than ever to the privileges of its name. Few timepieces have transformed contemporary watchmaking like the Big Bang. Twenty years after its launch, it remains the incarnation of a Manufacture that constantly pushes the boundaries of the unknown. Through exclusive materials and in-house movements, led by the Unico and the Meca-10, the Big Bang breaks with tradition —a notion it has never completely embraced. Singular for its bold aesthetic, plural for its versatility, this is the Big Bang.
 

RED CERAMIC

Ceramic has been central to the Big Bang’s evolution, but Hublot has pushed boundaries by creating vivid coloured ceramics previously unseen in watchmaking. This complex process involves mastering pigments, pressure, and heat to ensure durability and consistent colour—no easy feat. Hublot’s first in-house coloured ceramic, red, debuted in 2018. To honour this milestone, the Big Bang 20th Anniversary Red Magic edition, limited to 100 pieces, features striking red ceramic paired with a carbon-patterned dial—bold, distinctive, and a testament to Hublot’s innovation.

Movement: MHUB1280.20YEARS UNICO Manufacture self-winding chronograph with flyback function and column wheel. Features black-plated main plate and bridges, date display at 4:30, and a 22K King Gold oscillating weight engraved with “20 Years Hublot Big Bang,” finished with microblasting and circular satin-finishing. Swiss silicon lever escapement, 4 Hz (28,800 A/h) frequency, approx. 72-hour power reserve, 43 jewels, and 354 components.
