At 44mm in diameter, you might expect the Endurance Pro to be a bit cumbersome on the wrist during physical activity. And it may well be if it were made from a more traditional material, such as stainless steel. That’s why Breitling has used ultra-light Breitlight®, a proprietary carbon composite that is 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than stainless steel. Non-magnetic, thermally stable and hypoallergenic, Breitlight® is highly resistant to scratches, traction and corrosion. It also has a touch that is warmer than metal and a slightly textured effect accentuating the originality of the design. The result is a large and rugged watch that is easy to read in all conditions, but with a case that weighs a mere 64.6 grams (without the strap).

The Endurance Pro features a black dial with central time display and chronograph functionality. The dial flange, complete with pulsometer scale for measuring your heartrate, comes in five bold colours; blue, orange, red, yellow and white. These are complemented by rubber straps closed by a Breitlight® double tang-type buckle. You can also pair the Endurance Pro with one of Breitling’s colourful Outerknown ECONYL® yarn NATO straps, made from nylon waste extracted from oceans around the world. Framing the dial is a bidirectional rotating bezel that can be used as a solar compass. Helpful if you’re out exploring the Great Outdoors and become disorientated.

Inside the new Endurance Pro is Breitling’s Caliber 82, a COSC-certified SuperQuartz™ chronograph delivering exceptional precision. Capable of automatically compensating for changes in external temperature – and the impacts this might have on the quartz crystal vibrating inside – the movement can measure chronograph intervals accurate to 1/10^th of a second. It also features an elapsed 30-minute counter and a date function, shown through an aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock. A solid, screwed down case back helps keep the Endurance Pro water resistant to 100m.
