This rare and historic timepiece dates back to the 1950-1960s, and has undergone conservation works through Blancpain’s Heritage Workshop.

This iconic timepiece is delivered in a original condition. Recent Work undertaken by Blancpain Heritage workshop, involving the restoration of movement to its original condition, while preserving as many of the watch’s original parts as possible. Specific details of preservation available upon request.
Blancpain’s strong connection with the oceans led Captain Robert Maloubier and Lieutenant Claude Riffaud to call on Jean-Jacques Fietcher (Blancpain CEO from 1950 to 1980) to design a diving watch that met the criteria necessary for submarine espionage missions: measuring dive time without exceeding oxygen reserve time and ensuring visibility of information in the dark.
