The Autavia, the legendary driver’s chronograph from the Sixties  beloved of collectors, is now available as an limited edition in 2018 exclusively for Australia thanks to Watches of Switzerland.

Created in 1962, and the catalyst for becoming the official timekeeper of the Carrera Panamericana, Ferrari Scuderia and Formula 1, this iconic model celebrates its 55th anniversary in the form of a neo-retro successor featuring updated functions and a proprietary movement. Modern yet faithful to its roots, the new generation Autavia channels the spirit of the golden age of motor racing. As innovative as the original, this contemporary model brings heritage colours into a new style.

Inspired by watches from the van der Griend private collection the design cues of this special piece harken back to iconic racing watches from the 1960s.

Every TAG Heuer Autavia “Watches of Switzerland Anniversary’ Edition is accompanied by a deluxe hardcover edition of  “Autavia: Story of an Icon” a coffee table book detailing the development of this iconic timepiece and it’s auspicious links to the field of motorsport.
