Trade In FAQs

How is my trade in value determined?

The value of your watch is determined by several factors, including its condition, any accompanying accessories (such as box and papers), and the current selling price on the secondary market.

How long will the assessment take?

Once your timepiece has been received by our workshop, out Pre-Owned team will get back to you with an appraisal within 2-3 business days.

What if I decline my trade in offer?

You are most welcome to turn down any trade in offer. If your watch has already been submitted to our boutiques for assessment, our specialists will pressure test and clean your timepiece prior to returning your piece to your original drop off location – via fully insured expedited shipping.

Brands we Accept

Any timepiece previously purchased from Watches of Switzerland is welcome to be submitted for appraisal. Additionally we consider the following brands for trade in: A. Lange & Sohne, Audemars Piguet, Breguet, Breitling, Cartier, Girard-Perregaux, Grand Seiko, H. Moser & Cie., Heuer, IWC, Kurono, Omega, Patek Phillipe, Rolex, Heuer, Tudor, Vacheron Constantin.

If your brand is not listed, feel free to reach out to our team for viability.

Are appraisal prices negotiable?

There may be opportunities to negotiate based on supporting details about the watch being traded in. We encourage you to speak with your Sales Assistant or Pre-Owned specialist to fully understand the offer and explore any possibilities for improving the deal.

How long will the trade in process take?

The whole process from boutique drop off, assessment, appraisal, and credit transfer generally takes 4-5 business days. Timeframes may vary on a case-by-case basis depending on the timepiece.
